Aleta Schuelke, SECRETARY

Aleta joined the Chorale in 2008, bringing choral singing experience with Geoffrey Boers, Director of Choral Activities at the University of Washington, and the rock band Panic Picnic (!) in Japan. She was a graduate student in Japanese language at Central Washington U. and the UW, and now tutors island students in the language.

Aleta is a stay-at-home mother who also finds time for volunteering. She managed the Island School auction and brought those organizing skills to the Chorale's annual fundraiser, A Feast for the Senses. In addition she has chaired the rehearsal refreshment committee, and is currently serving as Secretary of the Board.

Aleta enjoys her participation in the Chorale and is enthusiastic about bringing her organizational talents to wider benefit for the organization.
