MaryAnn Harris

MaryAnn began singing in Chorale in 1978 and has sung off and on until the present time. She and her husband owned businesses in Port Gamble and Bremerton, where MaryAnn was responsible for all aspects of the businesses, including advertising and marketing. During those years, she was President of the State of Washington’s Tourism Council, as well as Regional President of the Olympic Peninsula Tourism Council.

Business was MaryAnn’s second career, having been a Commander, US Navy Nurse Corps for 22 years. Her Navy career included a tour of duty aboard the USS Sanctuary, a hospital ship serving in Viet Nam. MaryAnn holds a Master of Science Degree from the U. of CA, having worked as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for the VA Medical Center.

Since retiring from both careers, she keeps busy serving as a volunteer for the Red Cross as  well as various other organizations.

MaryAnn rejoined Chorale in 1996 and looks forward to bringing some of her skills and experience to the Board.
