Kathleen Bullivant, Director - Young Singers and Harmonia

Kathleen Bullivant loves working with Youth and Adult voice ensembles. A native of Penzance, Cornwall, England, she moved to the United States in 1982 with her husband. While living in New Jersey she attended Westminster Choir College, focusing on Choral Conducting and Music Education. She continued at Westminster to establish the early childhood music department for the Conservatory, a community music school. In 2003 Kathleen moved to Bainbridge Island where she currently teaches music for The Island School, and founded the Bainbridge Island Community Youth choir in 2005. She conducts the Women’s Schola ensemble that sings regularly on the island. The Young Singers program was formed in 2007 and celebrated their first year with two concerts and participation on the Bainbridge Symphony Orchestra Anniversary Concert program.
