Laurence Kerr Laurence Kerr retired from the US Foreign Service in 2004. His last assignment with the State Department was with the National Defense University in Washington DC, where he was Assistant Professor of Grand Strategy. Earlier postings included service as Minister Counselor for Economic Affairs in Mexico, Charge and Deputy Chief of Mission in Georgia, and Consul General in Chile, as well as assignments in Guadalajara, Singapore, Guatemala, and Washington. Larry served in the US Army from 1965 to 1974 as a troop commander in airborne infantry and special operations units. He has a BA in English Literature from Miami University and an MS in International Relations (National Security Affairs) from Troy State University. Larry is married to Omie Kerr; they have two grown daughters, Margo and Katie. |
