FUNDRAISER:

Mark your calendar now for April 28:

Chorale’s “Feast for the Senses” Annual Fundraiser

Please plan to attend our third annual “Feast for the Senses: A Blast From the Past”, Saturday April 28.  This year’s fundraising dinner/auction will be held at “My Girl”, the 50’s style drive-in museum and party site in Kingston.  Our goal this year is to make the event an affordable party for Chorale members, so that everyone will be able to support their favorite non-profit by attending.  In addition to enjoying access to the museum, the event will include an auction, dinner, dancing and entertainment!  It will be great fun, so pull out your poodle skirts and bobbie socks, leather jackets and letter sweaters and get ready to party!

Our Organization

Bainbridge Chorale is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit corporation encompassing the Bainbridge Chorale Adult Chorale, and Bainbridge Chorale Young Singers Youth Choirs.

Mission Statement

Bainbridge Chorale is a choral performance company which promotes musical growth and education for its participants and audiences and is dedicated to expanding the awareness and appreciation of the choral arts.

Membership Eligibility

Payment of the participation fee constitutes voting membership in the organization.

Rehearsal Times and Location:

Regular rehearsals are held Monday evenings from 7:00 – 9:30. Singers should arrive at 7:00 for signing in and assisting with set-up.  In addition, this time can be used for meeting with a board member or your section leader to discuss questions or concerns. Please be seated and ready for warm-ups promptly at 7:15 and remain present for the duration of the rehearsal. A short break will be provided. Additional Sectional rehearsals may be scheduled as needed. Rehearsals take place at Woodward Middle School, in the Commons on the stage/choir room: 9125 Sportsman Club Rd., Bainbridge Island.

Registration Fees and Music:

Singers will pay a registration fee for each session. Chorale members are encouraged to become MEMBER PATRONS, by supporting Bainbridge Chorale with an additional tax-deductible donation.

Scholarship Assistance: Bainbridge Chorale has reserve funds for assisting members with membership fees and other expenses related to participation in Chorale. Please contact the Chorale Office at 780-CHOR if Chorale-related expenses represent a financial hardship.

Volunteer:

Bainbridge Chorale is a volunteer-run non-profit organization.  Please speak to your section leader or Chorale volunteer coordinator about how you can best support the Chorale.

Step-down Courtesy:

You are the best judge of your own preparedness for a performance.  If you lack confidence in a piece or a particular section of a song by performance time, please, as a courtesy to the ensemble, lip sync rather than contribute wrong notes to a concert.

Section Leaders:

Section Leaders are selected by the Board of Trustees and Director for their ability to provide musical and operational leadership to the Chorale. They serve as an information resource to members of their section and as a liaison between singers and the Board and the Director.  Speak to your Section Leader during rehearsal breaks, or call or email them with your questions or concerns.  Please always notify them if you must miss a rehearsal.  Section Leaders will assist the Director in managing seating during rehearsals and monitor attendance.  Please check our website for the most up-to-date Section Leader contact information.

Board of Trustees:

The Board of Trustees sets policy, is responsible for producing all Chorale concerts and activities, and conducts the promotional, legal and financial governance of the organization.  The Board oversees all activities related to Bainbridge Chorale, Bainbridge Chorale Young Singers and community and educational outreach. The all-volunteer Board of Trustees is elected by the active voting chorale membership at an annual spring Membership Meeting.  Term of office is usually two years and may be extended.  Please refer to the "About Us" page on the website for a current list of board members and their contact information.

As a member of Chorale, you may attend Board meetings or suggest agenda items. Call the Chorale office 780-CHOR for dates, times, and location of monthly meetings.  Your Chorale Board appreciates your involvement, comments and suggestions.   Most board members are active singers and are available to meet with singers before or during the break at rehearsals.  You may also email the board:
