Bainbridge Chorale has been committed to sharing the joy of choral music with singers and audiences since 1971. In 2007 we expanded our vision to include singers of all ages with the inauguration of the Bainbridge Chorale Young Singers program for Grades 1-8.

What's coming up for Young Singers?

                       Winter 2012 SESSION

Class times: Juniors (grades 1-3): Tuesdays from Jan.10 to March 20,   

omitting Tuesday, Feb. 21

2:45 pm - 3:35 pm

 

            Seniors (grades 4-8): Tuesdays from Jan.10 to March 20,   

omitting Tuesday, Feb. 21

3:45 pm - 4:35 pm

 

Venue: Blakely School music room

Fee:   $120

New Students:

Students who have not previously been enrolled in Young Singers classes, the Young Singers Summer Camp, or been in Mr. Rothbaum's Blakely school classes are asked to attend a Meet-the-Director session with Mr. Rothbaum.

The Meet-the-Director Session for Winter 2012 will be held at:

preceding the first class session.

PROGRAM  OVERVIEW

Participants in Bainbridge Chorale Young Singers:

• Share their love of singing in an energetic, fun atmosphere
• Improve their singing ability
• Enjoy the thrill of singing and performing varied choral repertoire,  including rounds, popular music and multi-part pieces

Annual Program Schedule:

• Young Singers may join a Fall, Winter or Spring session , in which participants meet once per week for ten weeks
• Or, they may join a Summer session, which meets daily for one week

ABOUT OUR DIRECTOR

Jeremy Rothbaum is well-known in the music community for his involvement as an educator and performer.

He has had more than twenty-five years of training, education and teaching experience in the field of youth music, and is best known locally for his position as the

music specialist at Blakely Elementary School. Our Young Singers enjoy Mr. Rothbaum's

choral experience fun and rewarding, as he maintains high expectations for

musical excellence. Mr. Rothbaum's energetic personality and his remarkable skills as a pianist and music arranger, make our Young Singers program truly unique. High quality group performances reflect his attention to detail and dedication to the success of each individual singer.

MEET THE DIRECTOR

Prior to registering for regular 10-week sessions, those singers who have not previously worked with Mr. Rothbaum, either in his Blakely School classes or Young Singers classes, are asked to schedule a Meet-the-Director appointment, in which basic pitch-matching skills as well as the child's general readiness to participate will be assessed. It is not necessary to prepare a song for this appointment.
